Test Versions
- Academic Version: For university enrollment, higher education, medical professionals, and nurses
- General Training Version: For non-academic training, employment, and immigration purposes
Acceptance
- Widely accepted by Australian, British, Canadian, Irish, New Zealand, and 1800+ US academic institutions
- Required English test for Australian immigration, also accepted by the UK and Canada
Test Structure

- Scores reported on a nine-band scale
- Each band corresponds to a specific level of English competence
- Band descriptions:
- 9: Expert User
- 8: Very Good User
- 7: Good User
- 6: Competent User
- 5: Modest User
- 4: Limited User
- 3: Extremely Limited User
- 2: Intermittent User
- 1: Non-User
- 0: Did not attempt the test
